Dundas Star News "City Plans to Make Bid on District Play Field!!!!"

Hamilton city council will make an offer to purchase the Dundas District School playing field from the school board.
Dundas councillor Russ Powers said Wednesday evening he received support from his council colleagues during an in-camera meeting for a resolution to make a bona-fide "fair market value" offer specifically for the playing field, on the south side of King Street West.
Mr. Powers said the offer will include a specific dollar figure, but that number was not made public.
"I'm very pleased with the support of my colleagues," Mr. Powers said. "It's clear the work of the Dundas District Innovation Group was very important."

Overwhelming Support!!

Over 750 letters supporting a city purchase of the Dundas District School play field were presented to Dundas city councillor Russ Powers on behalf of the Dundas District Innovation Group at the field Tuesday, July 3rd.
